The price of gasoline just keeps on falling. It's now lower than it was a year ago no matter how you measure it.

A better, more helpful graph would go all the way back to January 2021.

You’re welcome to research and draw one to share with the rest of us, if you actually have a point to make.

My point is that prices were up from 2.48/gal in January 2021 (when Biden took over and well before the Ukraine war). https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_gas_price. So there's no victory lap yet on this front.

Heck, let's go back to June of 2008 toward the end of George W. Bush's administration when gas $4.10/gallon or February of 2016 near the end of Obama's 2nd term when gas was $1.87 .
This is silly stuff. Kevin's choice of the past 12 months, during the current concern over inflation is as valid as any other, certainly more than picking the end of the first year of the pandemic.

I’ve profited $17,000 in just four weeks by working from home comfortably part-time. I was devastated when I lost eed my previous business right away, but happily, I found this project, which has allowed me to get thousands of dollars from the comfort cfs06 of my home. Each person may definitely complete this simple task and earn extra money online by
I can think of only one reason why gas didn't get to where it is today a month before the election rather than a month after.

Yeah, that upwards blip starting in September seems suspiciously timed.

So Fed rate increases are working???
And the Markets are way down....
Fed promised to kill the economy to kill inflation and the markets cheered. Now they're realizing what they've done.

Honestly, if you knew where to go, it never got any higher than now / then.

Does this mean we may return to lamenting how the price of gasoline does not reflect its true cost were environmental effects included?

Capitalism works. Now OPEC countries will start to cheat to recoup expenses on sunk drilling costs.

Now that they mostly failed to remove Democrats in the midterms, the greedy oil execs have stopped pumping the price up.

If you are going to do that, you might as well ask it to go back to the low point of the pandemic circa May 2020. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=EMM_EPMRU_PTE_NUS_DPG&f=M
