The Republican week in review

This week Republicans have:

And there's still a couple of days left in the week.

¹They aren't especially important charges, but there's not much question that Trump is at least guilty of the misdemeanor of falsifying business records.

Add the fact that a Supreme Court judge has accepted millions of dollars in gifts over many years from a Republican Party donor without declaring them.

I remember when it was "cancel culture" when people protested giving straight white supremacists a platform at publicly funded universities. Apparently cancelling people for being against enabling mass murderers is just fine.

Plus Jim Jordan subpoenaed the guy who quit Bragg's office last year because he thought Trump was guilty as heck. Of course, here's hoping that turns into one of the great self owns of recent years.

Of threats they have no evidence he's ever taken any steps to carry out, nor is there evidence of guns in the home,
You don't generally arrest or send CPS after a kid has been investigated and nothing is found.

The message is increasingly clear. When Republicans tell you what to think, best not talk back, or they will target your family.

The difference between Republicans and various mafias is that only part of law enforcement is bought off by the mob.

Expelled a Democrat from the Tennessee legislature for bad behavior, with two more to come.

In the end, they expelled two legislators, not three, and that, friends, is actually worse. They expelled Justin Jones and Justin J. Pearson, two Black men, not Gloria Johnson, a white woman.

And Gloria Johnson, to her additional credit, responded to a question from the press as to why she was not expelled by saying "I suggest the answer lies in the color of our skin".

The kid (son of a DeSantis foe) was arrested because he was making threats to shoot up his school. We tend to take stuff like that seriously here in Florida. Maybe it’s not a big deal in California.

Feb. 9: “I want to shoot up the school.” Feb. 12: “If I get a gun I’m gonna shoot up hnms lol” — an apparent reference to Holley Navarre Middle School, which the youth had previously attended. Feb. 12: “I always keep a knife on me so maybe I’ll just stab ppl.” Feb. 12: “...I have no hope in getting better, so why not kill the losers at school.”

Plus threatened to impeach a newly elected Wisconsin Supreme Court justice before she's even been sworn in.
