      Interesting. East central Europe is still having a hard time. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom doesn't even register anymore. I'm sure it helps to be on an island with a chance for an effective government response. Ireland's EU membership doesn't seem to be hurting it too bad, though.

        The UK was able to roll out vaccinations faster, but also had a much more severe holiday outbreak than most and....wait for it....it went into lockdown mode. As Prince Philips funeral showed, they are still in strict lockdown, esp. compared to US.
