Hotspots (CovidActNow, metro areas) still out there, but only one above 25 new cases/day/100K. Top three, and cases--with numbers still hovering
    Grand Junction, CO 34.4
    Cheyenne, WY 20.4
    Spokane, WA 18.0

Places where things may be taking off again--with a caveat that some of the apparent jumps might be due to reporting artifacts. (place, infection rate, vaccinations, 1st dose)
    Springfield, MO 1.23 33.2%
    Montgomery, AL 1.20 31.7%
    Manhattan, KS 1.17 34.5%

and positivity in US not bad:
Three states above 5% (Highest: MT at 5.9%)
    Eleven above 4%
Thirty plus DC and PR below 3%

Increasing natural immunity caused Covid cases to drop from 3,600 a day in min January to 1,800 a day in early March with almost no vaccination effect yet. The vaccinations are helping but arrived too late. Over the past few weeks, deaths have declined about 50% due to vaccinations and 50% due to
        increased natural immunity.

According to Startribune, Twin Cities are at 70% vaccinated and even the Trumpier greater MN is at 57% vaccinated. Again, state is an island of relative sanity surrounded by the maniacs in the Dakotas and Iowa and the Wisconsin leg.

Iowa is at an average of 1 Covid-19 deaths a day. In Wisconsin, cases have fallen from 600 a day to just 100 a day in the past 6 weeks. Both have the same vaccination rate as Minnesota.

The pandemic is over in the USA. Thanks to Pfizer et al.

If a few old republicans are still getting sick and dying… well who cares?

I’m watching the LA dodgers play the Atlanta braves on tv. 39000+ fans and not one wearing a mask. It’s over. Let’s move on.

Republicans??? More like whiny blacks/Brown people. Wait until the next viral load season this fall. They are under vaccinated badly.

Midgard is not wrong on the facts (forget the characterizations): low vaccination rates and high mortality rates at this point are mostly prevalent in minority (non-Asian) communities.
