Re Sweden's graph: There are at least two reasons for the erratic behavior of the Swedish death numbers. One is that this graph shows deaths according to when they were reported. In Sweden, information on death numbers is issued only four days per week (Tue through Fri). Another reason for the graph look is the by now rather well-known fact that death reports lag considerably in Sweden.

For another, perhaps more relevant, view of the Swedish death numbers, please see https://adamaltmejd.se/covid/. This site shows deaths distributed on actual date of death, as well as statistics on the reporting lag.

VA seems to be done with its holiday "catch up", i.e. deaths dropped by ca. 150/day. TX looks like it may be doing some catch up from the storm reporting delays....maybe (not an official report). NY and NJ are plateauing around 38 new cases/day/100K, with RI and DE a bit lower. That's bad. TX just dipped below 25 cases/day/100K, though their testing levels still are not back up to where they were before the storm. FL and GA plateauing around 25 too. SC still dropping but still high. Three of the lower 48 below 10 cases/day/100K: MO, OR, WA.
Case numbers seem to be leveling off where they are now. Hospitalizations still dropping, though that's slowing, as are deaths.
Vaccination rates (1st shot) run from 12.6% (GA) to 23.5% (you go AK), though NM not far behind at 22.7%. Early leader WV now at #10, 18.7%. Note--there is a recent dip in hospitalizations (and deaths?) in WV that could be vaccination related. (beyond my statistical chops).

Should note, other states having storm related reporting issues too, e.g. OK, just not as big (in absolute numbers) as TX. Also not seeing clear evidences of vaccinations affecting hospitalization and deaths yet in states other than WV that report 18+% first shot levels--but immunity takes weeks to kick in.

Indian Health Service program boosting Alaska performance?

What is percentage of indigenous population vaccinated? Higher than national average for all races?

What is percentage of rugged individualist* science deniers living off their Alaska Permanent Fund checks vaccinated?
