Trying to not get overly optimistic, but just following the line on this chart (not actual data) and it looks like this could be close to over by July. Not sure what "over" means in this case. Not gone, but maybe as close to it as we'll ever be again.

It means the coasts -- at least, from Norfolk to New Brunswick, & up the Pacific (with a few exceptions in Antivaxxxia (maybe Seaside, OR?)) -- & urban centers in the interior are at 85-90% vaxxx'd, but Indo-Brazilian variants flourishing in megachurches & ironically named survivalist groups.

It's going to be a long winter.

84% of people over 16 in Marin County have had at least one dose of the vaccine. 70% are fully vaccinated. In Tulare County, which is Trump Country and represented by Devin Nunes, 48% of the people over 16 have had at least one dose and 37% are fully vaccinated.

Check education to vaccine. Nunes district is one of the least educated district's in California, with plenty of brown men.

People don't have time to research everything, so a quick note to the curious. Study after study has shown that the anti-vax movement is an equally right and left phenomenon. Mitchell Young knows this, but wants to lie to you. I don’t care why, but he does. Other people here and elsewhere also want you to believe his lie and post the same comment. Always remember, they are not misinformed. They are lying. Correcting them by telling them the truth means nothing to them. Facts and figures mean nothing to them. They are just liars.

Oh, it is definitely heterodox, but place to place may be more Survivalist than Homeopathic, or vice versa.

Not a lot of granola anrivaxxxers in New Hampshire, but not a lot of Survivalist antivaxxxers in Vermont.

Actually, the very most recent evidence -- namely what we're seeing since covid vaccines were greenlit for use in the United States last December -- suggests the "anti-vax movement" is now any thing but "equally left and right" but is now mainly the province of the MAGA right.

These are largely Trump voters. Very stupid Trump voters.

848 people died from covid yesterday. That's about 310,000 dead in a year. That's pretty far from normal.

The death rate has to fall by an order of magnitude for the pandemic to be anywhere near over.
