Friday Cat Blogging – 1 September 2023

Last week I showed you Hilbert rolling around, so this week you get a picture of Charlie rolling around. This is one of his (many) favorite spots, up on a cabinet in our kitchen where he can keep an eye on us and stay near the food bowl. A tummy rub is all it takes to make this absolutely perfect.

Don't know if this has ever been an issue for you but I just read here,

    https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/green-tea-review-tea-bags-matcha-supplements/green-tea/

    . . . .
Cancer patients taking proteasome inhibitors such as bortezomib (BZM), which is used to treat multiple myeloma, should be aware that EGCG and other polyphenols in green tea may block the action of these drugs and negate their therapeutic efficacy. Green tea should not be used when taking boronic acid-based proteasome inhibitors such as BZM, MG-262, and PS-IX (Golden, Blood 2009).
    . . . .

Green tea interacts with a lot of things, either to restrict what they do or enhance their effects.

If you drink it you really should check to see how it might affect whatever supplements or prescriptions you might be taking.

I nearly died once because of the way it interacts with hydrocodone and I passed out in the shower, --completely unconscious, flat on my face on the floor. Sometimes the drain in that shower would fail for a few minutes, for some mystery reason, and it would back up about two inches deep. Some poor dope in the other part of the multiverse wasn't quite so lucky that day.

Well Maybe Charlie understands how to pose, but maybe not...he just looks knocked out to me....for which I am deeply jealous,(personally on occasion having some sleep difficulties,)Charlie, unlike myself, just easily seems to pass into a perfect state of bliss goneness...which you have captured very well. Best Wishes, Traveller

Having had few cats who chose to knock themselves out to achieve that blissful state - slow ease of movement & life bring supreme feline governing principles- he reminds me of one of my handsome black cats who always chose to situate himself on a beautiful yellow velvet pillow.. I assure you, he looked stunning! More importantly, he certainly seemed to be aware if that effect.

Yikes. Your words paint a perfect image, but black hair on yellow velvet leaves me worried....lol Gotta love cats. Best Wishes, Traveller
