Hilbert has become quite the good sport about playing with Charlie, but he's no spring kitten anymore and sometimes he just needs a nap. When that happens, he hops up on my desk and curls up in his box. This provides all the me-time he needs—except when someone interrupts him to take his picture, of course. Nothing in life is ever perfect.

He looks like an emoji.
There should be a Mount Rushmore, but for cats.
Grumpy Cat, Morris, Hilbert, my cat.
Double Plus Good!!!
I love how The Big H always looks like he is barely tolerating whatever us going on.
Maybe he has a jaundiced view of his world now that it's going to hell - after all, he's king of all that he surveys but here he is, forced to play with that newcomer he didn't unauthorize. Of course he's adopted a disdainful gaze.
Bombay/smoke tabby mix. My mother had one for what seemed like forever. Annoying imps with very bad gas.
“Oy mate, I’m trying to sleep, go away” 😉
Just as the Drum household dynamics have been upturned, sadly my household pack was suddenly diminished by one this week when the Queen of the household my 14 year old Sheltie Fiver collapsed after her lunchtime walk on Wednesday. Rushing to the emergency vet, they told us she had a sarcoma that burst. Now the three remaining boys lost their boss who was quick to tell them to knock it off when ever they got to overwrought about something or other.
Funny but the week started out with worry about Cowboy one of my older males at age 11, he apparently does have a mass in his chest area but we are waiting for our appointment with a specialist next week to see if it's treatable. Luckily right now Cowboy is his crazy lovable self so I really, really hope it's treatable.
Reminds me that we all should give our dogs and cats a big hug and treasure the days we are privileged to spent with them.
I just have to say, this is a hilarious photograph.
