Friday Cat Blogging – 28 May 2021

Today Hopper gets the Richard Avedon treatment. This is pretty much straight out of the camera, just a lucky shot as Hopper was walking toward me. The other three or four in this sequence are a bit out of focus, but the autofocus did its thing perfectly for this one.

    Finally, someone has done it,

The “invisible statue” in Italy was sold for 15 thousand euros,

The statue, which is not visible in Italy, found a buyer for thousands of Euros. The invisible work of Italian sculptor Salvatore Garau named “Io sono” (I) was put up for auction on May 18 at the Art-Rite auction house in Milan for 6 thousand euros.

One of the art lovers paid 15 Euros (approximately 155 thousand TL) for the work without materials at the auction. The buyer was given only a certificate of warranty for the intangible work as proof of its originality.

“The auction witnessed an undeniable truth”

Garau said in a statement about the sale of his work, “The auction witnessed an irrefutable truth. The void is nothing but an energetic field, and according to Heisenberg’s principle of uncertainty, even if we empty our void and nothing is left, nothing has weight. Therefore, it is condensed and, in short, within us. “It has energy that turns into particles.”

Garau had previously exhibited his invisible work in a white frame as part of his exhibition at Scala Square in Milan.

The defining work of our era.

The first person who just put a base coat down on a canvas and stopped was making a statement. The second....not so much.

Now maybe if it was an uncertain box....

Whoever bought this, this is something that will remain handed down in his family for generations, maybe centuries.

They will carry it with them to the stars.

Well I'll say it then...this cat is visible, this is a great image...maybe not worth 15,000 Euros, but still a fine rendition of this gentle beast.

I like it....and especially the framing.

    Best Wishes, Traveller
