Charlie seems to be showing some serious attitude there, reminding me of my tortoiseshell. Wonder if he is still pal-ing around with Hilbert, or is now becoming more independent, now that he is the stair monitor.
He knows that the upright apes don't have balance down as well as cats, he's waiting for gravity to do his dirty work. What a villain!

My cats (the now-deceased tuxedos and the current pair of mismatched kittens) all like to stake themselves out on the stairway, where they can see most of the downstars and upstairs. Cats like to see everything. It might be worth chasing.
