It's a showdown on the fenceline. Charlie and our squirrel are having a staring contest, which the squirrel won on sheer speed. It scampered over to the bush near Charlie and then zipped down. It happened so fast Charlie hardly had time to blink. Those squirrels are quick little beasties.

Curses...foiled again!!!
Let’s start a pool on whether or not Kevin will ever mention, you know, the thing that just happened in NYC…
Can’t get enough of Charlie …
I assume he's waiting for the indictment to be unsealed.
“Beasties” is not exactly the word that my dog has been using in the park during the recent warmup. And even though I have her on a leash, she caught one recently (I think she used to be a hunting dog). It wasn’t pretty.
Still love Charlie, but hope that he never gets a squirrel or a bird.
My cat caught a robin once. The robin then proceeded to beat the daylights out of the cat and cause her to run away. I haven't laughed so much in some time.
There's little chance of that. He's hell on lizards, though.
Do the lizards snap off their tails?
What good is murder if there aren't any to murder?
Actually, that is a pretty funny picture. Look at the two tail positions. Kevin shouldn’t have told us what happened next but rather, let his readers submit what they think happened…. I’ll bet some pretty clever endings would have appeared.
Natural selection in real time! Charlie's ancestors only had to win, what, one out of every thirty or forty such encounters to survive? They could lose 39/40. But poor Mr Squirrel loses just once, and he's done for.
