    The flu shot this year is a kick.

    Got it yesterday and today I'm achey all over and tired and my shoulder is killing me.

          Flu shots vary in efficacy year to year.

          But even 30-40% effective (what's your source for that number? flu shot efficacy varies year to year, but is typically higher) is still a helluva lot better than the 100% ineffectiveness of no flu shot.

       Got mine several days ago, same day I got Pfizer #3. Two slightly sore arms, but otherwise no problems.

       Also, I've been having an outbreak of hives at the same time and the flu shot seems to have exacerbated this tremendously.
