This is beyond awful. There's something they don't know about, maybe an undercover infection that got worse because of the steroids. That happened to my husband and the CRP went sky high like that.

Nothing helpful to add, just feeling selfish because I need your insight and commentary every day and I don't want you to have to stop it. Maybe you're just needing some kitty fur rubbing and your missus can sneak then in for a visit.

If down to my last line of defense, 4 capsules every 6 hours, or a couple dropperfuls with that same cadence (this also available as liquid extract, both available at nearby Whole Foods, Sprouts or similar).

D-Fraction also an excellent one to add to the mix (the mix of mushrooms in previous still desirable).

"The antitumoral activity of D-Fraction has been the focus of multiple investigations. Initially this effect was attributed exclusively to their immunomodulatory capacity. Using different animal models, it was found that D-Fraction not only activates effectors cells of both the innate [14–20] and adaptive [18, 21] immune system but also potentiates the production and release of lymphokines and interleukins that amplify immune responses.

More recently, increasing evidence shows that D-Fraction also exhibits immune-independent antitumoral effects on some types of cancer. Thus, the proteoglucan has antiproliferative or cytotoxic effect on PC3 (prostate cancer) [22], T24 (bladder cancer), HepG2 (liver cancer), U89 (brain cancer), HL60 (leukemia) [23], MCF7 and LM3 (breast cancer) [23–25], ACHN cells (kidney cancer) [26, 27] and three canine cancer cell lines, but it does not affect the viability of A549 (lung cancer) and AGS cells (gastric cancer) [28]."

Hang in there! I'm discouraged by the numbers on that chart, but encouraged by your continued ability to produce and publish said chart.

Given your many posts yesterday, you appeared to be stronger, or at least more determined. Then checking multiple times earlier & seeing no new charts, it was worrying, but ,whether you had a setback for unknown reasons or had pushed yourself too far wasn't obvious. Knowing how many physicians have bern involved in your treatment, I'm still hoping for the best outcome if you don't overexert! You have many old friends & many strangers hoping those numbers change fir the better.

You're in my thoughts as well. I've been reading you daily for so long I think of you as an old friend.

I’m so sorry to hear this, Kevin—been thinking about you every day. Hope very much the docs finally get a handle on what’s going on.

Keep on posting those health graphs until you get all better. I've been reading you everyday even though it doesn't affect your site stats since I subscribe through RSS. I wish I and the rest of the Kevin Drum community could do more for you.

Kevin, we all need your wisdom, insight and humanness. Prayers to that we don’t understand for healing that we cannot comprehend. Peace to you, brother.

  10. CAbornandbred

Sending out healing energy to you Kevin. It's good for every possible illness, disease and condition you could have. And, with you on steroids and I'm sure antibiotic coverage for every bacteria out there, something is going to stick.

in the face of 47, you all make me (ever so slightly) less of a misanthrope

    thank you all
