Here’s what I’m watching for tonight

I'm basically in favor of anyone with a D by their name tonight. Still, we all have certain races that we care about more than others. Some of them are local. Some just feature people who personally piss you off. Here are mine:

Los Angeles County sheriff. Alex Villanueva is not only a bad sheriff, he's also a terrible human being. His old-school brand of corruption needs to have its ass kicked.

California 47th congressional district. We all love Katie Porter around here. That would be enough by itself, but the fact that she's running against the loathsome Scott Baugh cinches it.

Arizona governor. Kari Lake is an election denier and a MAGAnaut. What's worse, she's probably a fake election denier and MAGAnaut, just doing what she has to do to win. More importantly, she's a rising Republican star. I'd like to see her crushed before she gets off the ground.

Pennsylvania senator. I don't happen to care all that much about John Fetterman, but Dr. Oz? Spare me.

Wisconsin senator. Can you get any dumber than Ron Johnson? Ugh.

Wisconsin? Home of progressive reformer Bob LeFollette and reactionary scum ball Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy. RoJo, competing neck and neck with Herschell for the title worst person running for the Senate, is closer to Joe than Bob.

I hear Herschel Walker is beating Senator Reverand Raphael Warnock. How dumb is that??

It's not remotely dumb if you want tax cuts for the rich, abortion restrictions, right wing judges, and zero action on climate change. Warnock certainly ain't going to get that done for you.

All true, but I sure don’t want to hear anything about “values voters” any more. It was always a lie, I know, but this is really ridiculous.

Katie Porter will run for Senate in 2024, right? It might not be a total disaster if she loses.

If you want to have Mitt Romney style business-friendly Republicans make a comeback, Orange County is a natural base for them.

Feinstein must be primaried if she doesn't step down. I always liked and admired her (I'm a liberal not a progressive) but Californians deserve better at this point.

I first voted for Feinstein in 1983 against a stupid attempt to recall her as mayor of San Francisco. I have voted for her at every opportunity since then. But it’s pretty clear that she needs to retire.

Do you think any Republican will run against him? I know they want Walker but I don’t think they can afford a Walker win and Trump denial of it. I think Trump runs unopposed in the primaries.

Sure, But at least President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was COOL. Poor old Hersch is just pathetic.

So far the only major win he can notch is Vance in OH, and Vance didn't even mention him during his acceptance speech tonight when he thanked "all the people who made this possible." Ouch.
