Lunchtime Photo

This is a street in Ubaté, a town about 40 miles north of Bogotá in Colombia. It's my last picture from Colombia, and for some reason it's taken me the better part of five years to get around to posting it.

I have an invite to travel to Medellín with a party of 4, one of whom is a police captain and as a group we would have better security since we would be renting separate apartments...an apt in Rome, Italy is one thing, Medellín Colombia is something else.

I have begged off recently pleading questionable health...not so much anymore. I can probably do 4~5 miles a day before my knees get wobbly...which is not far enough, but it is something.

Everyone is of course younger than I, (who isn't?), and it is embarrassing having trouble keeping up...autumns trip through Colorado, The head waters of the Colorado, the Rockies and Utah.....was not successful from my perspective.

So when people called today saying t hey found a cheap ticket for me....not so, I have actual appearances and whatnots, so, not possible...

But back home and looking at your very evocative image...I don't think I want to go to Medellín anyhow; the Coast, maybe Santa Marta, Rodadero, sand, water, calm living....a good night's sleep, now that is something to devoutly to be wished for. (thanks for the therapy session) Best Wishes, Not-Traveller
