Wait. What's this? Lunchtime photos on a weekend?
Quite so. I was up all night on Friday, so I decided to putter around and look for pictures. Eventually I puttered into Santa Ana, and at the corner of 17th and Flower there was some kind of massive auto pileup. Judging from the number of ambulances and fire trucks clogging the street, it seems like several vehicles must have been involved, which is a little odd since it was 2 am. The streets were all pretty deserted.
Anyway, this gave me a chance to play cub photojournalist, so I did. Here are a few images of the aftermath.
The lack of masks is very disturbing.
Not sure why the two cops are not wearing masks, but everyone else, save the person being transported have full shields (fire dept.) or masks--though some noses peaking out.
ok, maybe I'm seeing an optical illusion and not face shields...
The medics were masked and had eye protection, the firefighters appeared to be maskless ( but I'm not completely positive), the patient was maskless...it's just heartbreaking.

So you ran out of Kodachrome film? Got to admit it though, the B&W is nice here.
Just last night a car crashed into the median about 50 yards (at the most) from our house. It let out a good BOOM at one point while it was burning. (The driver was alright and nobody else was involved.)
