Weekend Vaccination Rates in the United States

I think we all knew what this weekend would bring, and the numbers confirm it. COVID-19 vaccinations were not only below the old trendline, they were down in absolute terms. This is due partly to supply issues and partly to delivery problems caused by the unholy weather that hit two-thirds of the country last week.

Still waiting to sign up, when my cohort is declared eligible ... I don't mind the wait, if those ahead of me in line are essential workers, like clerks, teachers, medical and dental folks. Heck, I don't mind the wait, period.

Wouldn't have anything to do with the new administration, right? We kind of know that ab initio, so our priors never need to be updated.

These aren't weekend vaccination rates; they are numbers of vaccinations reported. The vaccinations are given during the week and reports are received by the cdc a few days later. The winter storm will delay some reports as well as some vaccinations. Since the storms didn't slow down manufacturing, next week there will be a huge bump in vaccines injected.
