Here in Missouri we've been known to elect dead guys, so both these candidates seem eminently qualified to me.

one guy who lives in New Jersey who filled out his FEC candidacy form with a misspelling of the city he claimed to live in, and used a business address for his residence.

Pennsylvanian here. If, and that’s a big IF, Fetterman is truly recovered from his stroke and is in good health through Election Day, he should win fairly comfortably, as Oz doesn’t sit well with the far right. The much bigger issue is the Governor’s race: Shapiro vs. Mastriano. Mastriano is a scary right-wing extremist, and if he is elected, he and the Republican legislature will make sure the 2024 GOP presidential candidate win’s Pennsylvania’s electoral votes. Also, in 2023, abortion will become illegal.

Thé OZ/Fetterman race has the intrigue Kevin mentioned, but the Governorship could quickly turn Pennsylvania into Eastern Ohio and that is very bad.

Could a bad and controversial governor possibly hurt the MAGA movement in Pennsylvania, by creating a backlash? I've seen no evidence Pennsylivannia is going from purple to red (as Ohio mostly has). Ohio didn't grow red because of any single Republican politician. It went red because the underlying demographic and economic trends have rendered it so.I don't know your state well, but the Pennsyltucky portion accounts for an increasingly more modest % of the state's population with the passage of time, no?

I wasn't aware Fetterman hasn't been seen in public. That's dire. I assume his recovery is on pace: surely Democrats would choose a different nominee if he's incapacitated, wouldn't they?

There has to be something in state law that deals with incapacitated candidates; what if there were a death? It's only July, have the ballots been printed already?

I like Fetterman and think he can win. I'm just worried Democrats might think they can get away with hiding a truly incapacitated candidate until November. That's why, I'm thinking: they couldn't be that stupid, could they?

Which is why I expect (hope) Fetterman's doing better, and will soon be back on the trail. He needs to be.

The other option was Conor Lamb. He was beaten decisively in the primary and he is close to Joe Manchin.

Mastri's Jewish ancestry it tries to hide will hurt him as Shapiro's hurts him. Fetterman is the key. His triangulation against progressives and neoliberals like Mastri has long been a key.

He can't make sure of crap. If contards don't respect it, destroying capitalism sounds good. Markets will collapse. Credit spreads surge, state bonds will blow out bankrupting states. Company after company will go under as dollar collapse and degpegging occur. All trade collapses. The U.S. Will make 1976 Kiev look like a paradise.

This ain't 1900 anymore. The U.S. Is a financial empire based on overconsumption. Capitalism is based on debt. Conservatives are being decadent. The real point of the Putin/Trump con. Killing them is something I am open too now. I am a anti-progressive Bryan Democrat, but even I know which way the wind blows. I ain't serving in their Zionist dictatorship. Democracy is the only thing that keeps us at bay.

Ark ark, just think of those low population shit towns in starvation while the bought off remains of the military defend suburbs........lol. Or niggs and all those illegal weapons they have hoarding food for huge prices. This ain't hollyvitz people......The

      The system is fragile,

I knew Fetterman was keeping up a good pace on Twitter ribbing Oz for living in Jersey, etc., but I didn't know that he literally hadn't been seen in public *at all* since having his stroke. That's kind of crazy.
