The Omicron booster was less horrid than previous covid injections for me.

Incredible brain fog for two days, and the second day was like having a really severe cold, complete with constant sneezing. Third day was recovery, then I was largely fine.

Altogether about one third the horrible effects of previous covid injections.

I'm sorry. All I had was a sore arm, which precluded laying on that side for 3 days. Sadly, I'd also gotten a flu shot in the other arm; same effect. And I'm not a back sleeper.

Got the Moderna bivalent shot in one arm, and a flu shot in the other arm on the same day, a few weeks ago. I always feel under the weather after a vaccination so I figured I'd get it over with all at once. Had one restless night (fever? Dunno) and couldn't lift my arms above shoulder height for a few days, but now I am bionic.

Same for me. I felt very slightly achy the next day, and the COVID arm was a bit sore for a couple of days. That was about the extent of it.

Very same, though about six weeks ago, not a few weeks. I had less reaction to this shot than any of the previous 4; no reaction at all really.

I set up the appointment but timed it three or four days short, they hadn't received the bivalent doses. Took the stick, number four, anyway. Just like all the previous sticks just mild soreness at the site. I'm two weeks shy of the recommended period for the modified dose, I'm getting the hour I'm eligible. Already got the flu stick, no big deal.

We just got informed of the ebola outbreak in Uganda and we reviewed our PPE protocols. 50% fatality rate. No vaccine, no effective treatments. Yet. The good news it appears contained. We are in a new world with new vaccines and treatments, but still the same bull headed humans.

Bonne chance and wash those paws.

Moderna is in short supply, apparently. Took a bit of searching to find a slot.

The variant waves are changing. Instead of one mutant wave followed by another, we're now seeing 3 different, concurrent Omicron mutant waves. That cannot possibly be a good sign for late winter/early spring.

It's good to see that cases in the US have stayed low. No big surge yet. Also, what's up with boosters? We are getting a lot less, yet no uptick in new cases? Is this because we have some level of herd immunity?

To all the people still planning to get both shots together: ask them to do both in the same arm! Not sure why they encourage one in each arm: as all the people here said, if you do that, both arms get sore and can affect your sleep, etc. I did both in one arm and lived to tell the tale...(even nurse said it wasn't a problem).

Why is COVID still going down in the US despite poor booster status? It should at least be starting to rise, even if there was a lag.
