As we grow ever more removed from the benevolent regime of El Jefe Maximo de Maralago, we are seeing COVID deaths rise under the sleepy eyes of El Tio Demento.

This is why Kamala Harris must fire Jen Psaki as White House Press Secretary.

After the time when I was twenty five & took Sudafed with a quad shot latte, I don't fuck with antihistamines.

MI looks to be going for a record, currently at 76+ new cases/day/100K. New York got up to 85+ over the holidays. We did not have enough testing during the initial outbreak to give us useful numbers.
Apparently the B.1.1.7 variant is all the rage, and it's doing Spring Break in FL.

The ease in cases in the Northeast is looking real. Numbers dropping in NJ, VT just dropped below 25 new cases/day/100K, and NY holding steady or dropping. However, ME still looking to join the 25 and plus club.

CO and MN still staying above 25. NE and WV numbers still falling. IL now the one on the cusp of going over 25.

At the other end LA got out of the pool, no longer below 10, and TX might be getting shy of the water. The pan handle that was greening up so nicely, is now going deep red again. Low population counties--one family gets sick or improves and the numbers swing. Numbers up a bit in PR now too--and they were doing so well.

Vaccinations (first dose): MS and AL ca. 27%; NH ca. 47%.
    NJ: 40%; MI: 33%

Are the Peoria Rivermen still an active minor league hockey team?

I bet the lettuceheads have some simply inspiring COVID & vaxxx taeks.

I remember listening to Milwaukee Admirals International Hockey League games on WISN AM 1130 when the World's Greatest Sports Talk Show w/ Steve "The Homer" True* was preempted, unbenounced to me. (I don't like hockey particularly, & I particularly don't like the Admirals.) Remember the Kalamazoo Wings, Indianapolis Ice, & Peoria Rivermen well from legacy kid Doug Pettit's** game call.

*Funny thing about The Homer, even as he has reached his late 60s & become a flaghumping MAGAT -- which is also funny, considering his first brush with controversy was not seeing the harm in Roseanne Barr's performance of the National Anthem at the Padres game, c. 1990 -- I bet he could have an interesting interview with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, as two sons of Notre Dame professors who left their Irish roots (Homer to play tennis at UW-Madison, & later on call Marquette men's basketball for the past 30 years (underrated play by play guy, & *** HOT TAEK *** better than the sainted in Milwaukee Bob Uecker at that task); Pete to attend Harvard, immiserate the American workingman at Mc Kinsey & as El Tio Pepe's envoy to BIG OIL, & be a fake gay) only to achieve in their own right.

**Son of the owners of the team, the philanthropist Jane Bradley Pettit & longtime hockey announcer Bob Pettit.
