Not to worry. My dog will be right over. She has caught a squirrel (squeak! Crunch! She was so proud.). … I once had a beautiful sleek smart talkative Bombay cat who would put one bird on my doormat every day. That’s when all my cats became mostly indoor cats.
My cat gets out once in a while, never straying far from the door. She caught a bird once, and to her everlasting shame, the bird beat the living daylights out of her. I laughed for a good long time.

Stunning photo, but I am sorry that Charlie's attacks on birds can't be prevented by humanely means, if belling cats does work.
I wouldn't bet that Charlie will never catch a squirrel. My cat catches a squirrel every year or so.
Stupid birds? That's your take? How about irresponsible cat owner who allows their pet outside to kill birds. Cats belong inside.
