This picture amuses me. It's Charlie with our lizard, but for some reason he's pretending to ignore it. He only did this for a few seconds before springing back into action, but I wonder what he was thinking? Trying to trick the lizard or something?

I don't want Kevin to think he's been living in a time machine but free range eggs are back down to $1.99 a dozen, not that Mr Biden will get any credit for this reduction from $7.00/dozen...and the press completely missed notifying the public that 37 million chickens were destroyed due to trying to contain Avian Flu....Gads, the failure of our press to notify and/or educate the public is...depressingly shocking.
So egg prices are radically down...likewise my wonderful 1/2 pound block of White Sharp Cheddar cheese is down from $4.29 to a sale price of $1.87 and Schweppes Zero Cal Tonic Water water is down from $2.29 back to $1.29.
So Kevin, you are not in a time warp...some prices are radically down...hopefully other food prices will follow. Best Wishes, Traveller

Yes, he's listening to the lizard, cleverly letting it think he's asleep so when it moves he can surprise it, but then his adrenaline overcame him.
One wonders what the lizard is thinking. "Yeah, he wants me to move, and then KA-BLAM! No way, fella. We'll see who can wait the other guy out. I've got time and I'm cold blooded ... too."

A good question. With our cats, although I occasionally save a lizard, this deal does not generally turn out well for the lizards.
