Off-season sales of clothes has been standard for decades. You plan ahead & buy summer/lighter gear in winter, & winter/heavy gear in summer.

How is something I knew from my Reagan Youth 1980s upbringing BAD NEWS for JOEBIDEN, & a harbinger of a November 2022 shellacking?

    Seasonally adjusted?

Fossil fuel prices backup--expected--and better ROI for now.
Electricity up? Costs of fossil fuels, plus, freezes in the South.
Drop in costs of car rental prices--it was fun while it lasted for them.

Companies are trying to get price increases to stick, and everyone it trying to do this. Larger companies announce price increases in advance--and see if their competitors go along. As long as everyone blames Biden for this, they won't really feel any pushback.
