I was right! Yesterday's photo was indeed a picture of Église Saint-Sauveur du Petit-Andely, a 13th century gothic church in the town of Les Andelys that was (probably) built by Richard the Lion Hearted. It turns out that Les Andelys was Tuesday's stop, so I got to see a lot more of it while trying to ignore the chattering of our guide. Here's a selection of photos of both the interior and exterior of the church.

What is Fetterman doing in that full interior pic? I thought he was in the hospital.
Hey Kevin, how many of these are on your Pixel? When we went to Europe earlier this month, I only took my Pixel 6 Pro. I was nervous, but it was great!
Why on Earth would an English king build a church in France? Didn't France have a king?
I'm sure you'll be inundated with replies: large parts of northern France were part of the Anglo-Norman kingdom, inherited from William the Conqueror. That's what the Hundred Years War was about- it took that long for the French to conquer English territory.
The arrangement of seven windows makes for a stunning photo. I wonder if that particular one is possible in many other churches, where there are often large central rose windows with tall stained-glass panes on both sides.
